From the start, our vision has always been to look forward, not backward. We have been working hard to create a design language that is distinctly our own. Our debut design, the 528, embodied this approach and received three international design awards for its originality, making us and our customers proud. After months of dedicated work and invaluable feedback from our community, we are excited to present the 528 S2 (Series Two), an evolution that stays true to the vintage–meets–modern spirit of the original while introducing subtle refinements that elevate the design to a new level.

THE ASTRA LINE-UP

Following the previous ORBITAL and STELLAR collections, we have once again incorporated the metallic shimmer palette from PANTONE® in the 528 S2 line-up. Metallic shimmers use a pearlescent base with metallic pigments that change colour depending on the light angle, creating a mesmerising effect. All dials are hand-painted with metallic shimmers, except Lunera, which comes in a glossy black finish. The ASTRA line-up will be available in five dial variants: Desert Mirage, Lunera, Luxara, Solo Argento, and Vistamare.

SLEEKER CASE PROFILE

The case width has been reduced from 45 mm to 43 mm, the height from 33 mm to 32 mm, and the thickness slimmed from 11.1 mm to just 8.7 mm including the crystal, giving the 528 S2 a sleeker, more elegant profile. The Golden Ratio proportions of the original design have been preserved, while wearability and comfort on the wrist have been significantly enhanced.

Good design is as little design as possible.

The 528 S2 will be powered by the La Joux-Perret D101, a Swiss-made manual movement renowned for its slim profile, precision, and 50-hour power reserve. This hand-wound calibre displays only hours and minutes, keeping the dial clean and uncluttered. With no date mechanism, complications are kept to a minimum, reducing the risk of mechanical failure. Thanks to its slender profile, the 528 S2 is lighter, more elegant, and even more comfortable on the wrist.

LA JOUX-PERREt

The La Joux-Perret D101, based on the legendary Peseux 7001 calibre, is a well-known hand-wound movement in the watch industry for its 2.5 mm thickness, reliability, and refined finishing. With a 50-hour power reserve, 18 jewels, Côtes de Genève decoration, polished anglage, and blued screws, the LJP D101 combines slimness, technical precision, and exceptional craftsmanship, making it highly prized by collectors and enthusiasts worldwide.

BRUSHED CASEBACK

The caseback now has vertical satin brushing to help reduce fingerprints, while the edges are chamfered and mirror-polished for a crisp contrast. The laser engravings are deeper and easier to read, and the see-through design remains to showcase the beautiful La Joux-Perret movement.

BOLDER HANDS & NUMERALS

Crafted from aluminium with a satin-brushed finish, the dial is hand-painted with a metallic shimmer and coated with lacquer for added protection. The diamond-cut, skeletonised hour and minute hands are the same as in the 369 but thicker due to the absence of a seconds hand. The applied numerals are slightly larger and bolder, and the line-up offers a choice of silver rhodium-plated, gold-plated, or luminous hands for improved visibility in low light.

SPHERICAL SERRATED cROWN

Due to its slim 8.7 mm profile, the 528 S2 is fitted with a standard push-pull crown instead of the screw-down crown used originally in the 528. A screw-down crown was considered but proved technically unfeasible. The 6 mm spherical crown has the same serrated design as the 369, and because the movement has no date, the ghost position is eliminated, making time-setting quicker and more intuitive.

LUMINOUS HANDSET

The Lunera dial, named from the fusion of the Italian words Luna and Nera, meaning ‘Black Moon’, is the only variant in the line-up with a luminous handset. The numerals remain non-luminous to preserve the same size and proportions, but legibility in low light is still improved.

PREMIUM STRAPs

Customers will be able to choose either a premium Epsom leather strap, available in black, brown and blue, or a white CTS (cut-to-size) FKM rubber strap with a Leaf-Spring Deployant clasp, which can be easily trimmed for a precise fit. All straps will be embossed with “Delugs for Möels” on the underside. For those who prefer a metal option, a German-made mesh band from Staib will also be available as an add-on.

BETTER IN EVERY DETAIL

  • CASE

    The size has been reduced, resulting in a slimmer, more refined case. The Golden Ratio of the original design remains the same, and wearability and comfort are significantly improved.

  • HANDS

    The handset was redesigned following the same design language as the 369, but is slightly thicker since there is no seconds hand, enhancing its presence on the dial and improving legibility.

  • LUGS

    The lug width has been reduced to 20 mm, making the watch compatible with more straps. Lugs are slightly shorter for a seamless fit, and the tips are angled to follow the strap taper.

    The applied numerals are slightly larger and bolder, and the line-up is available with silver rhodium-plated, gold-plated, or luminous hands for improved visibility in low light.

  • CROWN

    The 6 mm spherical crown has the same serrated design as the 369, and its asymmetrical shape makes it easy to grasp and turn. With no date function, time-setting is faster and simpler.

    CASEBACK

    The caseback now has chamfered edges and a satin-brushed surface to reduce fingerprints. The see-through design remains and the laser engravings are deeper for improved legibility.

MOVEMENT

Swiss-made La Joux-Perret D101, manual winding, time-only (hours and minutes). Adjusted in two positions, 21,600 vph (3 Hz), 18 jewels, and a 50-hour power reserve when fully wound. Decorated with Côtes de Genève stripes and blued screws. Accuracy ±12 sec/day up to ±30 sec/day.

DIAL

Aluminium, satin-brushed, hand-painted with a metallic shimmer and coated with lacquer for added protection. Diamond-cut skeletonised hands and applied numerals. Dial variants include luminous and non-luminous options, with silver rhodium-plated, gold-plated, or luminous hands.

STRAP

The 528 S2 comes with a choice of premium Delugs straps: Epsom leather in black, brown and blue, or a white CTS (cut-to-size) FKM rubber strap with a Leaf-Spring Deployant clasp. All straps are embossed with “Delugs for Möels”. A mesh bracelet from Staib is also available as an add-on.
