THE MANAGEMENT TEAM

To be honest, titles don't really resonate with us. Yes, they’re important, but a title doesn’t give us any superpowers. For us, what truly matters is our attitude, is what we bring to work everyday, titles come after that.

WE ARE A FAMILY

My job is simple, but it's very challenging. We are a self funded startup and my role is to build a solid scalable business without any money raised. As the chief executive my primary responsibilities include making business decisions, managing the overall operations of the company. I make strategic decisions that direct the company's overall growth and look at how capital is allocated across in-house and outsourced projects. I deal with vendors across the world and make sure all projects are delivered on time and on budget. Simply put, I set the tone, the vision and the culture of the company and I work extremely hard to make Möels & Co. a very successful brand and a long-term business.

  • SELLITA

Sellita was established in 1950 as an assembly house, procuring ébauches (movements in kit form) from ETA, assembling them, and subsequently distributing these completed movements to watch brands. Today, the company employs around 500 staff at three locations in Chaux-de-Fonds and Jura, Switzerland, and Glashütte, Germany. Sellita has always operated as a B2B enterprise, quietly providing the watch industry with a substantial number of well-tested mechanical movements annually. In recent years, this number has reached as high as 1.2 million; this exceeds Rolex's production and is second only to the Swatch Group/ETA. Sellita has been marketing its own movements for just the past 20 of its 72 years in business, and since 2004, the movements it supplies have been primarily based on historic, expired-patent ETA designs. Now, Sellita is gearing up to introduce a new series of original, high-performance movements to set itself apart from the competition

  • HIRSCH

Headquartered in Austria, this family-owned and operated business was founded in 1765 as a leather workshop and tannery. With over two centuries of innovation in the watch industry, Hirsch's Rembordé construction technique, patented in 1955, which allows for the seamless connection of upper and lining leather, still sets the industry standard today. Hirsch watch straps are attached to more Swiss watches than any other watch strap company. As an OEM manufacturer, Hirsch supplies straps to most Swiss watch brands, including The Swatch Group and Panerai. The majority of Hirsch's product lines are still crafted in Austria, where quality and expertise are passed down from one generation to the next. Hirsch's discerning taste for premium leather hides and quality steel buckles has established them as a top strap solution for the majority of high-end watch brands.

THE PARENT COMPANY

Our story began during the 2019 lockdown in a small studio flat in Kensington, London. With a MacBook Pro, a small table, and many ideas, Madman & Fatman was born. Our company has been self-funded since its creation, and this freedom gives us the opportunity to pursue our vision. Our lean structure enables us to work creatively and efficiently, with a low overhead structure, maintaining the flexibility and agility needed in today's highly competitive e-commerce marketplace. We design and develop products in various market segments on a brand-by-brand basis. Each brand we create is independent; they are marketed separately, each with its own budget, identity, audience, and equity. Our design studio has both 2D and 3D capabilities and uses state-of-the-art software to develop products from conception through to manufacture. Our design scope covers all areas of product design, including ideation, market research, prototyping, packaging, user experience (UX), photography, and filmmaking.
